While her parents savored the delectable in-room meal, Indah had the opportunity to experience the excitement of watching flames dance on our spacious balcony, which was equipped with a modern fire pit (an outrageously good grilled avocado, Journeymen charcuterie and truffle jus–drenched roasted chicken). As soon as she nodded off, both of us slipped into the sculpted white tub for what felt like the most luxury bath of our lives, complete with bath salts and sparkling rosé. Over the course of a few days, we struck a healthy balance between indulging in decadent activities (such as eating a 32-ounce Flannery Beef côte de boeuf at Hazel Hill) and engaging in simple activities such as going on hikes, swimming in the family pool while it was deserted (another perk of parenthood dordle in wine country), and even going on an exciting visit to a beehive with Indah tucked safely under my protective mesh hood I even managed to sneak into the toasted rosemary–scented spa for a massage with Kit, who complimented me for taking an hour to myself while he worked out the knots in my shoulders.
